Hot boom, hot weekend is coming

Summer has broken out over Italy. A few days before the summer solstice (Monday 21 June), the heat is already reaching very high levels for the period, but will peak during the weekend when it reaches values ​​over 40 ° C. The iLMeteo.it team announces that in the next few days the North African anticyclone is destined to become the undisputed protagonist on the weather-climatic scenario; the peak of this first heat wave, as mentioned, will be reached between Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th June. Peaks of 39-41 ° C are expected on inland Sicily, but also in Puglia on the Foggia area, peaks of 37-38 ° C on some stretches of the Po Valley as in Emilia and in particular between the Bolognese and Ferrara areas and in the innermost areas of Tuscany. However, respectable values ​​will also be recorded elsewhere where 32-33 ° C will be the order of the day. To aggravate the situation of discomfort there will also be the increase in the phenomenon of aph, which will help to maintain very high temperatures even during the night. Only with the beginning of next week the heat will be less intrusive starting from Northern Italy. Today Wednesday 16 June – In the North: some thunderstorms on the central-western Alps and Prealps. Middle: alternation between clouds and bright spells in a dry context. In the South: good stable and sunny weather.
