Coronavirus: 4,913 new cases and 50 covid deaths in Slovakia – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. PCR tests revealed 4,913 new cases of the disease in Slovakia on Saturday coronavirus. The laboratories performed 14,455 PCR tests.

It informed about it National Center for Health Information.

The most positive cases were in the Žilina region, PCR tests revealed 761 infected, 720 in the Trnava region, 706 in the Trenčín region, 698 in the Bratislava region, 568 in the Banská Bystrica region, 519 in the Košice region, 483 in the Prešov region and 458 in the Nitra region.

Healthcare professionals also performed 11,956 antigen tests, of which 614 were positive.

Another 50 people died of Covid-19. In total, the coronavirus pandemic in Slovakia has claimed 15,354 victims.

The number of hospitalized decreased by seven on Saturday, so there are currently 3,336. There are 581 patients in intensive care units and 294 people need support for artificial lung ventilation.

At the same time, 2,440 vaccinated with the first dose and 3,688 vaccinated with the second dose were added. Among hospitalized patients, 85.30 percent are not fully vaccinated.
