“You should be shot”, insults to carabinieri who ask for a green pass

“They should shoot you.” A 39-year-old affected Romanian citizen, who was denounced and fined, responded with a threatening tone to the carabinieri who asked him to show identity documents and green pass at a metro stop in Rome. The checks carried out by the Carabinieri of the Capital dedicated to monitoring compliance with the urgent measures adopted by the Government to contain the Covid-19 epidemic continue. Yesterday, the Carabinieri of the Rome viale Libia and Rome Parioli stations requested the display of the “green certificate”, mandatory for circulation on public transport, in the Rome Tiburtina railway station and on the Rome-Viterbo railway line, as well as that in the metro stops “Bologna” and “Libya”. A total of 51 people were checked: only the Romanian at the request of the Carabinieri to show the Green pass, replied that he did not have it, refusing to decline his personal details and trying to step away. Once stopped by the military, the man began to address them heavily, shouting several times “they should shoot you” and maintaining a strongly threatening attitude. Given the situation, the man was accompanied to the barracks where, after showing his personal documents, he was sanctioned for 400 euros, because he did not have a Green pass, and reported on the loose with refusal to indicate his personal identity, threat and resistance to public officials.
