There are few Android devices released in 2015 that are still updated. According to the twitter account Android TV Guide, the TV box Nvidia Shield TV, the first version of which dates from 2015, is however preparing to switch to Android 11.

Launched in 2015 with Android 5.0, the Shield TV went through Android 7, Android 8 and Android 9, which it has now seen alongside for a few years. The TV box had in fact spent its turn on Android 10. Most Android 11 applications could therefore in theory be ported to this new version of the operating system. A nice refreshment after a few years of stagnation. This would obviously concern more recent models released in 2019.

A bundle of favorable clues

And we can see that the Nvidia TV box is compatible with Android 11. There is therefore no official confirmation from the designer of graphics cards.

But this information supports a body of clues. A recent thread Reddit (since deleted) already claimed two months ago that Android 11 would soon join Shield TV.
