Slovana Bratislava footballers lost in their last match in the basic F-group of the European Conference on the FC Copenhagen field 0: 2.

The Danish team was already confident of advancing to the round of 16 before the match, Slovan was fighting for advancement to the sixteenth final of the playoffs. PAOK Thessaloniki finally fought into it, defeating Lincoln Red Imps from Gibraltar 2: 0.

Slovan finished in the group with eight points. He defeated the Gibraltar champion in both matches, drew with the PAOK in both duels and lost twice with Copenhagen.

Eight winners of four-member groups got directly into the spring elimination, the teams from the second places will play against the teams that finished third in the European League groups to advance to the eight finals of the elimination phase. Jaromír Zmrhal, Slavic midfielder: “It simply came to our notice then. But the difference between our league and abroad can be seen. The hosts were better and we have work to do. If we beat PAOK at home, we would advance. We are sorry for the match the most, but we did our best in all matches. ”

Yuri Medvedev, defender of the Slavs: “On my chance, Vlado Weiss gave me a beautiful pass, I wanted to put it between the goalkeeper’s legs, but I don’t even know how he caught it. If I scored a goal, the match develops differently, but the opponent was better and faster, we have to admit. We were running out of energy at the end. ”
