Covid Switzerland today, 10,894 infections and 27 deaths: positivity rate at 15%

There are 10,894 new coronavirus infections registered today in Switzerland, while there are 27 deaths and 193 hospitalizations for Covid-19. This was reported by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPE). The cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days are 1348.52. During the last 24 hours the results of 71,816 tests have been transmitted, the positivity rate is 15.17%. Over two weeks, the total number of infections is 117,447. The reproduction rate, which is about ten days behind the other data, stands at 1.20. 66.24% of the population in Switzerland is fully vaccinated. 36.62% of people over 65 have already received a third dose. Since the start of the pandemic, 1,101,773 cases of Covid-19 have been laboratory confirmed out of a total of 13,413,422 tests carried out in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. In total there are 11,352 deaths and the number of hospitalized people stands at 36,606. In Ticino there were 429 new positive people and 15 new hospitalizations. Five people died. In the Grisons there were 206 infections, two deaths.
