84 coronavirus victims were added, more than 8,500 people tested positive – TVNOVINY.sk

In Slovakia, 8,523 cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed on Wednesday (December 8). 22,238 PCR assays were performed. More than 72 percent were not vaccinated.

The most positive tests were in the Trnava region, the least in the Prešov region. 1,044 people had a positive antigen test, of whom more than 71 percent were unvaccinated.

We also record another 84 deaths from COVID-19.

According to the Ministry of Health, there are 3,419 patients with COVID-19 in hospitals. There are 605 patients at JIS and OAIM, 305 people need support for artificial lung ventilation. Almost 83 percent of those hospitalized are not vaccinated or have only one dose of vaccine.

534,598 people have the third dose of the vaccine in Slovakia, 2,486,452 people have two doses of the vaccine and 2,686,274 people have the first dose of the vaccine.
