Miss Universe 2021: what you should know about the pageant

(CNN Spanish) – The contest miss Universe celebrates its 70th edition this year. The host country is Israel, the place where the contestants arrived and visited several of its most emblematic places full of history.

Mexican Andrea Meza, 26, is the current Miss Universe and will deliver the crown to a new sovereign. Morocco returns to competition more than 40 years later and a contestant from the United Arab Emirates will participate for the first time.

This is what you should know about the 70th edition of the contest.

When is?

The ceremony will take place on Sunday, December 12 at 7 pm (Miami time).

Where is?

Eilat, Israel. A city that is home to several of the most luxurious hotels in Israel, visited by more than 3 million tourists a year, according to the organizers of the event, who also describe it as a destination that offers experiences in the sea and the desert.

How to see the ceremony?

Channels Fox, Telemundo and RCN will broadcast the event.

What artists will be at the ceremony?

The singers Jojo and Noa kirel.
