Presidential 2022: Emmanuel Macron leading the voting intentions in the first round, Valérie Pécresse and Mari – Franceinfo

Emmanuel Macron is at the top of the voting intentions in the first round of the 2022 presidential election, according to the Ipsos-Sopra Steria poll for franceinfo and The Parisian-Today in France published Wednesday December 8. According to this poll, the outgoing President of the Republic won 25% of the vote, at the same level as in the survey published on October 1. Emmanuel Macron is ahead of the LR candidate Valérie Pécresse and Marine Le Pen, (RN), both credited with 16% of the voting intentions. In early October, the LR candidate was at 12% and Marine Le Pen at 17%. Éric Zemmour (Reconquest), fourth in this survey, totals 14% of the vote, against 15% on October 1.

Far behind, the leader of rebellious France Jean-Luc Mélenchon won 8% of the vote (−1% since October), followed by Yannick Jadot (EELV) with 7% (–2%). Anne Hidalgo, candidate for the Socialist Party, holds 5% of the vote (–0.5%).

Arnaud Montebourg follows, with 2.5%, Fabien Roussel (PCF) at 2%. Philippe Poutou (NPA) and Nicolas Dupont-Aignan (Debout la France), collect 1.5% of the voting intentions, Jean Lassalle (Resist) 1%, and Nathalie Arthaud (Lutte Ouvrière) 0.5%.

This Ipsos-Sopra Steria poll for franceinfo and “Le Parisien / Today in France” was carried out on the internet from December 6 to 8, 2021, on a sample of 1,500 people registered on the electoral lists representative of the French population aged from 18 years and over.
