The most common girls ‘and boys’ names in 2021. The Ministry showed how Slovaks name children – REFRESHER

The Ministry of the Interior informs on Facebook about the most used currencies for newborn children in Slovakia. As a year ago, the ministry now states that the first place in the ranking of the most used currencies does not change for boys or girls.

“The holder of the name Ema is 674 girls so far this year. We still have 1,222 newborns in Jakubov, “ informs the Ministry of the Interior that the data are updated as of 30 November. The boys are followed by Jakub and Adam, Samuel, Michal, Oliver, Tomáš, Filip, Matej, Lukáš and Martin.

“The top ten most common names are Richard, Alex, Matúš, Tobias, Dávid, Peter, Šimon, Patrik, Dominik and Ján.”

Nina is in second place after Eme. After them Sofia, Eliška, Viktória, Sára, Natália, Nela, Mia and Hana. “The second ten names are Tamara, Karolina, Kristina, Anna, Diana, Laura, Olivia, Michaela, Rebecca and Julia.”

The Ministry of the Interior adds that even though names such as Jozef, Ján, Peter or Mária, Anna and Zuzana no longer dominate the current rankings, they have been the most widespread in Slovakia for many years. “It is assumed that Jakubov and Ema will also be included in the list of the most widespread names in Slovakia in the near future, “ they add.
