Covid today Emilia, 1,391 infections and 13 deaths: December 8 bulletin

There are 1,391 coronavirus infections in Emilia Romagna today, 8 December 2021, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. 13 more deaths recorded. The new cases were identified out of a total of 36,207 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of swabs made since yesterday is 3.8%. Of the newly infected, 687 are asymptomatic identified in the context of regional contact tracing and screening activities. Overall, among the new positives 434 were already in isolation at the time of the swab execution, 516 were identified within already known foci. The average age of new positives today is 42.4 years. The number of patients admitted to intensive care is essentially stable (82, +1 compared to yesterday); 837 are those in the other Covid departments (+30). As regards the total number of people healed, they are 559 more than yesterday and reach 425,992. The active cases, that is the actual patients, today are 27,715 (+819). Of these, people in isolation at home, or those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, are a total of 26,796 (+788), 96.6% of the total number of active cases.
