PRAGUE. The candidate for the Czech Minister of Justice in the government of Petr Fiala, Pavel Blažek, is being examined by the police. The intelligence informs about it Aktuálně.cz portal, to whom and Hospodářské noviny told six independent sources.

According to them, the police officers, under the supervision of the High Public Prosecutor’s Office in Olomouc, still suspect the head of the South Moravian ODS of involvement in corruption and manipulation of city flats and premises in Brno.

Investigators are also checking whether Blažek has committed acts with the network of his close associates, such as the current mayor of Brno, Markéta Vaňková, or her deputy, Robert Kerndl. They also deny anything illegal.

The case was started by the statement of the prosecuted friend of the ODS politicians Pavel Hubálek, who is being prosecuted for apartment fraud.

In one of his statements, which Aktualne and HN obtained from two independent sources, Expolitik described in detail the system of about 40 connected companies and people – mostly ODS municipal politicians and their relatives, who according to him traded with the city in 2010-2014. property and for hundreds of millions to millions of commissions allocated it and purposefully privatized.

He also said that they manipulated lucrative leases of non-residential premises in the city center.

It is not clear what other evidence the police have. The search is not published by law and the police have not yet blamed Blažek or others. According to the sources of the mentioned media, the investigators did not postpone the case, but continue it.
