Matovic’s 500-euro voucher is a problem. The government parties as a whole have not agreed – TVNOVINY.sk

The coalition council met on Monday (November 29) evening 500-euro bonus for seniors after vaccinationproposed by the Minister of Finance Igor Matovič (OĽANO). According to the diary SME but the governing parties as a whole did not agree.

The head of the SaS club, Anna Zemanová, announced that their party was against it. “We insist on our position, we do not agree with the 500-euro contribution,” she said.

SaS will support vouchers up to a maximum of 150 euros. The disagreement in the governing coalition means that the deputies will probably try to enforce the proposal without the consent of the SaS. “We did not see a specific proposal, but it is possible that it will be organized in this way,” Zemanová added.

Only recently, the Minister of Finance presented a novelty in front of Slovakia in the form of a 500-euro coupon for the elderly for vaccinations. If the coalition does not agree, Igor Matovic will seek support throughout the parliament.

If MEPs knocked out the proposal, it could be used by all seniors aged 60+ who can be vaccinated with a third dose or go to the first dose.
