The whole of Austria has been back in the lockdown since Monday, which the local government has announced for 20 days. From midnight, all residents are again banned from going out.

They must close all business operations except for basic service providers. In public interiors, the obligation to wear the so-called FFP2 respirator and the two-meter distance rule also applies again, writes the APA agency.

The residence can only be abandoned for reasons known from previous phases of the pandemic coronavirus. Exceptions include, for example, averting danger, traveling to work or school, providing for the basic needs of everyday life, traveling to the doctor or for vaccinations or testing, fulfilling “family responsibilities”, as well as physical and mental relaxation.
