They will either be vaccinated or die. Such a message was sent by the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to opponents of coronavirus vaccination at a time when the number of infected people is rising rapidly throughout Europe and several countries are introducing restrictive measures.

Orbán spoke about the vaccination on the public radio station Kossuth Rádió. The Hungarian government has responded to the deteriorating situation by reintroducing the mandatory wearing of drapes in interiors, which will apply from 20 November. In Hungary today, the authorities report vaccination coverage at 60 percent of the population. Orbán said that children aged 5 to 12 would soon be able to be vaccinated, while drawing attention to the alarming situation in healthcare.

It is currently not possible to terminate an employment relationship in the internal and health care sectors in Hungary. “We have a situation in which it must be acknowledged that certain professions cannot be left now,” stated.
