LEVI – Slovak skier Petra Vlhová will be the second in a row for her inaugural slalom performance of the season in Levi, Finland, followed immediately by her biggest competitor Mikaela Shiffrinová.

The Norwegian national team member Kristin Lysdahlová will be the first to start in Levi, followed immediately by the two biggest favorites Petra Vlhová and Mikaela Shiffrinová. After the star duo, the Swiss Wendy Holdener will get on the track, who will return to the competition after injuries to both wrists.

Number five was given to Lena Duerr and Katharina Liensberger, another big favorite for the overall triumph, will start sixth, followed by Michelle Gisin from seventh place. Martina Dubovská, a Slovak representing the Czech Republic, will fight from the fourteenth position in the opening slalom in Levi.

Vlhová has the highest ambitions

The start of the first round of the opening slalom in Levi, Finland is scheduled for 10:30, the second round should start at 13:30. Vlhová would like to emulate last year’s success in Levi, when she won both slaloms in the Finnish resort and started to win a big crystal globe. This year, too, she did not underestimate anything, she flew for the Arctic Circle three weeks before the start of the event, while also sacrificing a parallel competition in Lech / Zürs, Austria.

“After last year’s success in Levi, I have high ambitions. I want to attack the highest rungs. What will I be happy with? “I’ll leave the race to the top. I’ll be very happy if it goes to the top.” Vlhová said during Thursday’s online meeting with the media.
