Several customers of the bankrupt supplier Slovakia Energy have problems with issued invoices. They turn to the Office for the Regulation of Network Industries (ÚRSO) for incorrectly determined final consumption on the day of delivery termination, but also for arrears, overpayments or for paid advance payments. “The Office has therefore decided to guide customers in reading invoices in this regard,” said ÚRSO spokesman Radoslav Igaz.

Make sure that the invoice you receive is periodic or billing. Scheduled advance payments for the next period may also appear on the periodic invoice. Do not pay these payments to the original Slovakia energy supplier anymore and wait for the billing invoice if it has not yet been delivered to you.

• In the billing invoice, check that the meter reading is correct and that the numerical data from the “final meter status” item matches approximately the status on your meter – whether on the electricity or gas meter. If this information is fundamentally different, claim it according to the complaint form attached to the billing invoice and send it directly to the supplier for his contact details.
• In the event that an advance payment is sent to your account or through SIPO after the termination of the business of the supplier Slovakia Energy, it will be posted to the final bill, or it will be returned to you.
• If you are still not in arrears or overpayment with your payments, or if you have not been credited with the invoice and the advance payment has not been refunded to you, report this fact directly to the original supplier on the contact details.
• In the event that you do not receive a response within 30 days of receiving the complaint, resp. you will not be satisfied with its equipment, you can contact the electronic contact address of the office consumer @urso.gov.sk. Do not forget to state the name and surname of the customer, the exact address of the consumption point, the designation of the consumption point (EIC code of electricity starting with 24Z… or POD code in case of gas starting with SKSPPDIS), your contact details (email address, telephone number), description of the problem and also what you are asking for , or how you propose to solve the problem. Don’t forget to attach relevant documents to your initiative.

“This procedure is similarly applicable to other suppliers who terminate the supplier’s activities in the electricity and gas market and whose customers get into the supply of last resort,” concluded Igaz.
