Use new technologies, organizational methods, innovative IT supports, connections and cooperation with international police forces to improve national security, and, at the same time, determine the most effective communication methods and operational actions closest to citizens, to make them perceive the right information and the correct perception of risk, avoiding alarmism, and defusing many negative events with prevention. This is what emerged during the national conference on “Internal and international security, intelligence today”, which took place in the Aula Magna of the “Camplus” in Palermo and was organized by the “Alcide de Gasperi” Institute of European Studies. of Rome and the “Giustino Fortunato” Telematic University of Benevento. The meeting was chaired by Claudio De Rose, former national attorney general of the Court of Auditors and honorary president of the latter, who underlined: “The values ​​of this conference have the European Union in its DNA, which also obtained the Nobel Prize for peace. 2012. For democracy it is very demanding, even in external relations. For security, it focuses on the causes of terrorism and organized crime. For police and judicial cooperation it makes use of highly effective modules such as Europol, Eurojust, the European arrest warrant and the European Public Prosecutor ”.
