Ultrad right: two men arrested in the South-West by the DGSI and targeted by an investigation by the anti-terrorism prosecution – franceinfo

Two activists from the ultra-right movement were arrested Tuesday, November 16 by the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI). They are targeted by an investigation by the anti-terrorism prosecution, Franceinfo learned from a judicial source. One of them is a 46-year-old employee of the town hall of Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne). The second suspect was arrested in Gironde.

The two men are accused of calling for violent actions on the encrypted Telegram messaging app and of making racist and anti-Semitic comments. According to a source familiar with the matter, these two men are considered “white supremacists” and belong to the “accelerationist trend”, that is, they are convinced that a “race war” will explode and it must be provoked. On Telegram, they were part of a group that shared racist videos and posters.

Also according to this source, these two activists exchanged to carry out “arms purchases”. Many weapons and ammunition were found during searches of one of them, including hunting weapons. The police custody which is just beginning will have to make it possible to determine for what purpose these weapons were acquired and stored. At this stage, from a source close to the file, there is no link with the conspirator Rémy Daillet, figure of the ultra-right, imprisoned in the case of the kidnapping last spring of little Mia and, the month last, for plans of attacks.
