Borgonzoni: “With Pnrr we invest in digitization and young musicians”

“Documents such as those presented today are indispensable for us who have to formulate laws and interventions. Music is a sector that has been heavily affected by Covid. We, within the PNRR, are carrying out a series of measures and in a fortnight the first call should come out to promote the digitization of historical pieces of Italian music ”. Thus the Undersecretary for Culture, Lucia Borgonzoni, on the sidelines of the presentation of the study ‘La musica che conta’ held at the Senate. The study is carried out by Afi (Italian Phonograph Association) in collaboration with Deloitte, the Assolombarda study center, the Utopia and Gfk companies. “Documents like this serve to highlight how fundamental it is to invest in the sector, not only from a financial point of view, but also by giving space to young people. The narration that exists now, of Italian boys who played in via del Corso and who are now stars worldwide, is a dream that can be realized and for this we must create these possibilities ”, concluded the undersecretary.
