Meteorologists from the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute have clear forecasts for next week. But we were surprised by the colder middle of the week, with a warm front coming to us on Friday.

Monday

The center of the massive pressure will move from the Baltics over southwestern Russia. At the same time, warmer air will continue to be maintained in our area in the upper air.

It will be cloudy to cloudy, in the morning even foggy. In the mountains and in some places also in lower positions, especially in the afternoon, reduced clouds. The week starts to be relatively warm, as the highest daily temperature will be 5 to 10, with reduced clouds up to 12 degrees. Temperature in the mountains at 1500 m around 7 st. No wind or light, in Above and Zemplín initially northern wind up to 5 m / s (20 km / h).

Tuesday

From the east, a massive higher pressure will reach our area. It will be mostly cloudy. At night and in the morning in lower places in many places fog or low clouds, which occasionally persist throughout the day. The lowest night temperature 1 to -4, in the southwest and in low clouds
places up to +4 st. The highest daily temperature will be maintained at a higher 7 to 12 degrees, with low clouds around 5 degrees. Weak, in the west gradually southeast to south wind up to 6 m / s (20 km / h).

Wednesday

Wednesday will be a turning point, as the edge of the weakening pressure level will reach our area from the east. At the same time, the Cold Front is advancing from the West to Central Europe.

Cloudy weather will occur. It will be cloudy and foggy. Initially in some places, later occasionally reduced clouds – especially in the east. Slight precipitation occurs occasionally. The lowest night temperature 0 to -5, in the west in places around 2 st. The highest daily temperature will be only 4 to 9 degrees. Mostly light, initially southeast wind up to 5 m / s (20 km / h).

Thursday

Temperatures will not go higher on Thursday either. A cold front will continue to flow through ours to the southeast, coupled with a deep low pressure with a center over the Norwegian Sea.

It will be cloudy to cloudy and in some places rain or showers, from about 1000 m gradually snow. The lowest night temperature 5 to -1 degrees. The highest daily temperature is 4 to 9, in the south of central Slovakia and in the southwest until 12 degrees.

The heat shock will come on Friday, as a warm front should flow to us from the west.

It should be cloudy to cloudy and in many places rain or showers, from medium to gradual higher snow. The lowest night temperature 5 to -1 degrees. The highest daily temperature rises to 5 to 11 degrees.
