Covid today Emilia, 676 new infections and 9 deaths: November 14 bulletin

There are 676 new coronavirus infections in Emilia Romagna according to today’s bulletin, November 14. There are also 9 other deaths. Since the start of the epidemic, 439,525 positive cases have been recorded in the region. 20,707 the total number of swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of swabs made since yesterday is 3.2%. Meanwhile, the anti-Covid vaccination campaign continues, extended to all citizens over 12 years of age. At 12 noon a total of 7,084,214 doses were administered; out of the total, 3,526,556 people have completed the vaccination cycle. Third doses made reached 271,824. The control and prevention activity continues: of the newly infected, 222 are asymptomatic identified as part of the regional contact tracing and screening activities. Overall, among the new positives 330 were already in isolation at the time of the swab execution, 351 were identified within already known foci. The average age of new positives today is 40.7 years. Of the 222 asymptomatic, 146 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 2 with serological screening, 29 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region and 1 from the pre-hospitalization test. The epidemiological investigation is still in progress for 44 cases. The contagion situation in the provinces sees Bologna with 109 new cases and Ravenna with 96; followed by Forlì (81), Rimini (68) and Ferrara (62), then Cesena (59), Modena (56), Reggio Emilia (54). Then Imola (44), Parma (31) and finally Piacenza with 16 cases. These are the data – ascertained at 12 noon today on the basis of institutional requests – relating to the progress of the epidemic in the region. In the last 24 hours, 9,674 molecular swabs were performed, for a total of 6,333,170. In addition, there are also 11,033 rapid swabs. As for the total people healed, they are 287 more than yesterday and reach 415,272. The active cases, that is the actual patients, today are 10,589 (+380). Of these, people in isolation at home, or those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, are 10,152 (+369) overall, 95.8% of the total number of active cases. Unfortunately, there are 9 deaths: three in Piacenza (3 women aged 82, 85 and 91), one in Parma (a 73-year-old woman), 2 in Bologna (an 87-year-old man and woman), one in Imola ( a 62-year-old woman), one in Ravenna (a 77-year-old woman) and finally one in Rimini (an 83-year-old man). In total, there have been 13,664 deaths in the region since the start of the epidemic. There are 40 patients admitted to intensive care (+1 compared to yesterday), 397 those in the other Covid departments (+10 compared to yesterday).
