La Palma: a man found dead after the eruption of the volcano – teller report

For 56 days now, the lava flows from the Cumbre Vieja volcano have already devastated more than 1,000 hectares in their path. Several thousand buildings, including houses, as well as crops, including banana plantations, were ravaged. In total, several hundred of the island’s 85,000 inhabitants have been evacuated and relocated since the start of the eruption, which is the third known to the Cumbre Vieja volcano in a century.
