To justify its coup, the army accused the government of Abdallah Hamdok of being the cause of all the evils of the Sudanese people. But according to Ali, “a military regime cannot succeed in Sudan. The Sudanese people are a people of resistance. Abdallah Hamdok did not have time to carry out his reforms and we did not have time to judge him on his results. “

“The current situation is very difficult”, summarizes the farm worker. “The Sudanese people will demonstrate. I will demonstrate.”

In Tuti, we are used to fighting, according to its inhabitants. Under Omar El-Bechir, they prevented the power from seizing their land to build luxury hotels, but today a form of pessimism has won some minds.

“If there is a new agreement between civilians and soldiers, it will be even more fragile than the previous one,” said Abderrahmane, a political activist. “Because the civilians will lose the confidence of the street, the soldiers have already lost it. This union between civilians and soldiers was negative, they forgot the people.”

Naama is a civil activist very involved in the protest movement: she is convinced of the capacity of civilians to take control of their destiny. “We will not stop taking to the streets,” she insists. “We will not stop the protests. The last revolution gave people hope. We wiped out the biggest dictator in four months.”
