Mazureka was expelled from the meeting room, Fico also refused to exchange his shield for a respirator – TVNOVINY.sk

Some members of parliament continue to refuse to comply with the rules in force. Today, the National Council of the Slovak Republic was the first to deal with MP Milan Mazurek (unclassified). He didn’t want to leave the lectern after he refused to replace the veil with a respirator. They kicked him out of the meeting room.

On Thursday morning (November 11), Mazurek wanted to take part in a discussion on a proposal for a shortened legislative procedure for a government proposal to change legislation related to the third wave of the pandemic. He did not have a respirator on, as the measures say. The Vice-Chairman of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, Milan Laurenčík (SaS), expelled him from the hall after a few minutes.

Fico’s opaque shield

The chairman of the opposition Smer-SD, Robert Fico, has been wearing an opaque shield instead of a veil or respirator for several months. He did not exchange it even today, despite the fact that he also called on his vice-president to put on a respirator or leave the hall.

“You know I’m a cardiac,” Fico said. He added that the vice-president of parliament is not a control body to show him confirmations.

Speakers in plenary would be able to speak until the end of the sitting, MEPs decided.
