Evaluated RT-PCR tests from Wednesday (November 10) revealed 6,546 new positives, 22,967 people could be tested. More than 68 percent of those tested were not vaccinated.

The most positive tests were in the Prešov region (1278), followed by the Banská Bystrica region (950), Košický (933), Žilinský (897), Bratislavský (840), Trenčiansky (647), Trnavský (590) and Nitriansky (411).

“As far as antigen testing is concerned, there were 1,859 positives, almost 71 percent of them have not been vaccinated yet,” the Ministry of Health said on its website.

There are 2,532 people hospitalized in hospitals with confirmed COVID-19 disease. Among hospitalized, 79.74 percent are not vaccinated at all or only partially vaccinated. There are 215 patients in the JIS, 230 people need the support of artificial lung ventilation. Of the hospitalized, almost 80 percent of patients are not vaccinated or have only one dose of vaccine in a two-vaccination schedule.

The number of confirmed victims of the pulmonary form of COVID-19 increased by 38 people. Total deaths 13,405 and covidom 2,580.

One week ago, on Wednesday (November 3), they confirmed 6,713 positive out of 21,705 tests. On that day, it was the highest daily increase in those infected since the onset of the pandemic. Patients are increasing and this number was surpassed by the positives on Tuesday (November 9), when tests revealed up to 7,055 positives. And that was the highest daily gain ever.

Antigen tests and vaccination

The results of the previous day were also shown by the results of 1,859 antigen tests, which could be performed by 27,186 people.

The first dose of vaccination was completed by 2,744 people, the second day received 1,069 people.
