Frega (Novartis): “Pharmaceutical industry central sector for a new model of care”

“The pharmaceutical industry is a central sector called to do something more to support a new model of care, undermined by the pandemic.” So Pasquale Frega, Country President of Novartis Italia and Ad Novartis Farma, speaking today at ‘Breakthrough Science’ , event promoted today by Novartis at Havas Village Italia in Milan and which precedes the Global initiative in Basel. Breakthrough Science objectives: to illustrate future challenges and scenarios of R&D in Italy and to take stock of developments and prospects related to the Medical Affairs function Underlining the importance of innovation, Frega focused on “a series of issues on which we have begun to work to accompany a path of transformation, how to support the value of science and improve the relationship of trust with citizens” . Regarding the post-pandemic, Frega has no doubts: “We need to make the most of the resources of the NRP, also with a view to greater collaboration with the Regions, and develop a partnership between public and private, following the English example of the NHS, for a population medicine “.
