Covid, the first dog infected in GB

A dog contracted Coronavirus from its owners in Weybridge, Surrey, England. This is the first time a dog has been confirmed positive for Covid-19 in the UK, where a cat had previously been infected. The confirmation came from tests carried out in the laboratory of the Agency for Plant and Animal Health, pointing out that there is no evidence that pets can transmit the coronavirus to humans. Meanwhile, five lions in the Singapore zoo tested positive for Covid-19 after showing symptoms of cooling, including sneezing and coughing. This was announced by the Animal and Veterinary Service. The latest to get sick is an African lion from Night Safari, who tested positive after four Asiatic lions showed signs of illness over the weekend. The lions were isolated within their respective lairs.
