What happened on Monday?

The young girl left her home, in Saint-Brice, Monday around 4 pm to jog, “an activity which is usual for her”, according to the prosecutor of the Republic of Laval, Céline Maigné. According to the Strava application, which allows you to share her sports performances thanks to GPS tracking, the young girl used to make a loop of about 5 km, in 25 minutes, north of the village of Saint- Brice. On Monday, his route was interrupted after 5 minutes, just one kilometer from his home, at the intersection of two roads in an unwooded area, near the national forest of Bellebranche.

His disappearance was reported Monday at 6:40 p.m. to the gendarmerie by his parents. “Her father, alerted by the length of her absence, went to the route she usually takes and did not find her there,” said Céline Maigné. “His research led him to discover different effects that he recognizes as belonging to his daughter and which are in the process of being exploited.”

What means have been implemented?

An investigation for kidnapping and forcible confinement has been opened. Two hundred gendarmes were mobilized, with divers, dog and horse teams, as well as helicopters. The terrain is “difficult because it is extensive,” said the prosecutor, referring to an area of ​​190 hectares around the parents’ home, partially wooded and dotted with bodies of water.
