There were many women in Karel Gott’s private life, and he could choose. Maestro did not want to tie himself for many years, among other things so that he would not lose his fans. He therefore pushed the public when he unplannedly became the father of his eldest daughter Dominica. The public only found out about this when the girl was nine years old. And later her second-born daughter Lucie joined her.

Eventually, his fateful wife became the former nurse Ivana Macháčková, of whom she was the only one to make Mrs. Gott, and together they survived Gott’s conditions for an incredible twenty years. Although many have been accused of being a gold digger by Ivana, after devoting herself to caring for Karel Gott in the last years of his cancer, even those who did not love her bowed to her. It wasn’t easy and she had nothing to envy.

After Karel Gott’s death, Ivana retreated to the background and only now, two years after his departure, has she appeared in public. However, these were always events connected with the legacy of her late husband, whether it was the premiere of the documentary Karel or the publication of his autobiographical book My Way for Happiness.

After two years, Ivana looked very well and relaxed, and she also showed a sense of humor. Recently, she also exceptionally participated in the christening of the album of two Czech singers, Jan Smigmator (35) and Dagmar Sobková (40), who calls herself Dasha. And here, too, a conjunctiva was found with her deceased husband. On the album, with the permission of Ivana Gottová, they used an earlier recording of Karel Gott’s voice.

Ivana’s widow explained to those present that her husband considered both singers to be the talents he admired, as did Ivana. She pointed out that she had one more thing in common with the singer Dasha. With both of them, Karel lasted 20 years. With Ivana in a relationship and with singer Dasha at work. Dasha worked with Karl Gott as a vocalist for 20 years.
