Presidential: Eric Zemmour widens the gap with Marine Le Pen in a new poll

The polemicist’s polling push continues. In the latest Harris interactive poll unveiled this Tuesday, he is able to qualify against Emmanuel Macron, who would however win largely in the second round.

The dynamic in favor of the polemicist seems to be confirmed. After 3 weeks of relative stability, Eric Zemmour is in a position to qualify in the second round against Emmanuel Macron, according to the latest Harris Interactive poll for Challenges unveiled this Tuesday.

A second Zemmour-Macron round

Oscillating between 18 and 19% of voting intentions, the polemicist could face the head of state who is between 23 and 24% of the scores. This is the second poll, after the Ifop-Fiducial opinion poll for LCI and Le Figaro published on November 7, which positions Eric Zemmour as being able to pass the bar in the first round.

Marine Le Pen comes in third position, between 15 and 16%. The RN candidate would be followed by Xavier Bertrand with 14% if the president of the Hauts-de-France region managed to win the LR congress. In the event of Michel Barnier or Valérie Pécresse, the right would collect 10% of the vote.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon, he is on a par with the former Brexit negotiator and the boss of the Ile-de-France region with 10% of the vote. The boss of rebellious France is racing ahead among the candidates on the left. Yannick Jadot is between 8 and 9% of voting intentions while Anne Hidalgo tops out at 4%.

Macron winning in the second round against all the candidates

In the duel of the second round, Emmanuel Macron would largely win against all the political figures, starting with Eric Zemmour who would collect only 42% of the votes against Emmanuel Macron (58%). Marine Le Pen, for her part, does a little better by collecting 45% of the votes in the event of a second round against the current tenant of the Elysée, just like Xavier Bertrand who would reach the same score.

Valérie Pécresse would do worse than the candidate of the RN and the president of the Hauts-de-France region by collecting only 43% of the votes against the current head of state. The same goes for Michel Barnier with 42% of the scores.

The polemicist benefits from a political landscape which is particularly favorable to him. The right is awaiting the result of its congress on December 4 to officially induct its champion and Marine Le Pen seems particularly weakened.

Survey conducted online from November 5 to 8 on a sample of 2,569 French people aged 18 and over, using the quota method. The margin of error for the overall results is, depending on the target score, between plus or minus 1.4 and 3.1 points.
