Cyclone coming, still bad weather: no San Martino summer?

A cyclonic vortex is coming, which will bring bad weather to Italy with even intense rainfall. Positioned between Sardinia and the Balearic Islands, it is causing a series of disturbed impulses in many regions: will it jeopardize the period in which, statistically speaking, the summer of San Martino arrives (around 11 November)? Stefano Ghetti, meteorologist of iLMeteo.it warns that in the next few days the regions most affected by rain at times intense will be mainly Sardinia and Sicily where authentic storms could fall, especially between today 9 November and Thursday. On the rest of Italy the sun will have a hard time shining decisively and the clouds will predominate at least until Thursday; in fact from this date the increase in pressure will begin to guarantee some more stable, sunny days and above all with rising temperatures (short San Martino summer). Suffice it to say that between Thursday and Friday in the Northeast and in Lombardy during the day, peaks of 20 ° C could be reached, a rather anomalous value for the period. The weather will continue to remain remarkably unstable on Sicily and Sardinia with precipitation, however, gradually less important and distributed in a more irregular manner. Today 9 November – In the north: often very cloudy skies, in the evening it gets worse in the Northwest. Middle: unstable with rain, in the late evening it worsens strongly in eastern Sardinia. In the south: overcast sky with rain. Wednesday 10 November – In the north: rains in the northwest, overcast skies elsewhere. Middle: morning with bad weather in Sardinia, dry but with cloudy skies elsewhere. in the south: rains in Sicily and southern Calabria. Thursday 11 November – In the north: last rains on western Piedmont, dry elsewhere, locally sunny. In the center: rains on Lazio, drier elsewhere.
