Patrick Poivre d’Arvor accused of assault: his pithy reaction to the eight new accusations

In a testimony given to the newspaper Liberation, eight new women accused Patrick Poivre d’Arvor of rape. The former presenter of the 20 hours of TF1 reacted quickly, in a very lively way.

Patrick Poivre d’Arvor will have to establish his defense. In its edition of this Monday, November 8, the newspaper Release has published the shocking testimony of eight women who accuse the former presenter of TF1 of rape. According to the police officer in charge of the investigation, “these testimonies describe Patrick Poivre d’Arvor as a sexual predator abusing his notoriety and using a similar modus operandi in approaching his victims and in the brutality of his acts, committed without the slightest attempt at seduction, nor the slightest consideration towards the women who dared to refuse his advances “.

These new testimonies, which accumulate for the former journalist, come from Stéphanie Khayat, a journalist at France Télévisions, Hélène Devynck, ex-journalist at LCI, Aude Darlet, employee of an insurance company, Emmanuelle Dancourt, journalist , Cécile Thimoreau, ex-reporter at TF1, Muriel Reus, ex-president of a subsidiary of the TF1 group and Cécile Delarue, also former journalist. All have one morbid point in common : they claim to have been sexually assaulted, up to several rapes for some, from the former headliner of the most watched television news in France.

Patrick Poivre d’Arvor: “I have never accepted a relationship that would not be granted”

These women have all decided to speak publicly after being shocked by the dismissal of the preliminary investigation opened in February following the complaint filed by Florence Porcel. Soon again in court, Patrick Poivre d’Arvor will have to prepare his defense. For the moment, he has only responded to these accusations via media channels.

Thus on March 3, the former journalist was invited to explain himself on the set of Day-to-day : “I never accepted a relationship that would not be granted, which would be forced. No way. There is nothing worse for me than forcing someone to do anything “. The former presenter of 20 hours therefore firmly denied having had a sexual relationship with the alleged victim, Florence Porcel, denouncing a “fable”.

Patrick Poivre d’Arvor then attacked the credibility of the other testimonies that accused him, this time on social networks: “All this is only anonymity, it is always anonymity. No one dares to come and tell me eye to eye”. One thing is certain: in the face of these many new accusations, PPDA has not finished hearing about justice.
