The Slovak hockey club iClinic Bratislava Capitals asked the multinational IHL to suspend participation in other matches of the season. “The club has decided not to play the league this season, but the league is not voting,” the club’s management wrote in the statement.

The club decided not to finish the season after last week’s events. Hockey player Boris Sádecký, who collapsed in an IHL match on the Dornbirn ice, died on Wednesday. The director of the club, Dušan Pašek Jr., also died on Friday. (iclinicbratislavacapitals)
