Tesla, Musk ‘must sell 10% shares’: the Twitter verdict

Elon Musk must sell 10% of his Tesla shares. Thus, at least, it establishes the ‘referendum’ that the entrepreneur conducted on Twitter. Eventually, over 3.5 million votes were cast to decide the fate of the package. 57.9% of the participants in the unusual consultation said they were in favor of the sale of the shares. Musk justified the question with the fact that “lately there is a lot of talk about unrealized gains as a means of tax avoidance.” The package of shares to which Musk refers would currently have a value of more than 20 billion dollars after the increases in the last few weeks that have brought Tesla’s capitalization over one trillion. “Regardless of the outcome, I will respect the result of the poll,” Musk said to ‘open polls’.
