However, it is not only these facilities, but also others such as gyms, etc. Entrepreneurs in the Topoľčiansky district, for example, are also at risk, where the color of the vending machine changed to black with the first week of November.

Establishments here must be closed. Fitness center operators are also concerned. The company 365 Gym Topoľčany, whose operator rejects such closures, is also affected. They were not stopped by warnings or police checks. The company remains open.

According to them, a state of emergency has not been declared and the customers there are allegedly vaccinated and follow the necessary measures. “Who will pay the bills? Employees? Where will people improve their condition and health? Why was everyone deceived? After all, the vaccine is freedom…” they ask on the social network.

Disappointment all over Slovakia, winter season in danger

However, this does not end with these centers, and the operators and their clients all over the country do not hide their disappointment. The president of the Tourism Association of the Slovak Republic (ZCRSR) Marek Harbuľák did not remain silent either. They claim that vaccinated people do not seem to feel significantly the closure of services, which is not the case. “Nevertheless, more than 2.5 million vaccinated Slovaks will not be able to visit restaurants, stay in guesthouses or hotels or use other tourism services in the black districts,” claims Harbuľák, who sees this situation as a serious threat to the winter season.

Harbuľák claims that, for example, restaurants no longer have to be saved even by home delivery or the well-known sale through a window. According to him, companies can cover a maximum of 10 to 15 percent of total original revenues.

The dissatisfaction with this system was also expressed by the Palacinkáreň network of friends at Friends in eastern Slovakia. In Humenné, the situation went so far that the owners expressed their concerns through banners posted on the walls of the building. “We also have to work, pay the bills, in every color, in every month. Unfortunately, we are not a retail chain or a multinational company,” it is written on them.

Changes must come as soon as possible

According to Harbuľák, there is probably nothing to wait for. Changes to the covid of the machine should come as soon as possible. The Tatras are also a problem, from which clients are said to be able to opt abroad.

The Ministry of Transport is already responding to the situation. “We are working to prepare autumn aid as soon as possible to compensate entrepreneurs for the losses they have closed today. We realize that the best help would be for companies to remain open and generate revenue. We want to negotiate changes to the covid vending machine. with the Ministry of Health, “ stated for Hospodárske noviny Ivan Rudolf, spokesman of the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic.

The ministry has so far paid almost 118 million euros to entrepreneurs under the “small scheme” and still has more than 102 million euros at its disposal. The “big scheme” still compensates for losses of € 8.5 million.
