COVID-19: Thousands of new infected and hundreds hospitalized – TVNOVINY.sk

On Saturday (November 6), 5338 cases of infection with the new coronavirus were detected in Slovakia using 16,826 RT-PCR tests. There were 24 casualties.

According to the National Center for Health Information (NCZI), the number of hospitalized increased by 454 patients. However, this figure is contradicted by analysts from the Data without Pathos initiative, according to which this is an error. Ivan Bošňák draws attention to the discrepancies in the report from Nové Zámky, where 468 were supposed to have been added, while the day before it was 18. Finally, the hospital in Nové Zámky also admitted the mistake, 65 patients are hospitalized

After correcting this error, 2102 patients should lie in hospitals, which is 51 more than the day before.

Of the 5,338 people with a positive PCR test, almost 68 percent were not vaccinated. In 10,941 antigen tests, 958 were positive on Saturday. More than 69 percent of them have not been vaccinated yet.

The most positively tested RT-PCR tests were in the Prešov region (1389). They are followed by Košice Region (996), Žilinský (741), Trenčiansky (542), Bratislavský (538), Banskobystrický (505), Trnavský (391) and Nitriansky (236). “Among them are 2570 men and 2768 women. The total number of positively tested men is 246.890 and women 271.745,” the Ministry of Health specified on its website.

The number of confirmed victims of pulmonary COVID-19 increased by 24 people. The total number of deaths “with COVID” is 13,229 and the total number of deaths “with COVID” is 2551.

The total number of people vaccinated with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine is 2,519,511. In the previous day, 877 vaccinees were added. The second dose of the vaccine has already been received by 2,314,789 people, and 392 people have been vaccinated the past day.
