A record number of 6713 new cases of coronavirus have arrived in Slovakia, positivity is up to 30%. Furthermore, the number of hospitalized is increasing sharply, with more than one hundred patients added on Wednesday to a total of 1,890.

Almost 80 percent of them are not vaccinated or have only one dose. There are 148 patients at the ICU, and 179 need support for artificial lung ventilation. Another 34 people died.

So far the daily maximum in the third wave was 5,361 tested positive from Tuesday, the maximum for the whole pandemic was 6315 from the end of December.
