Scanned travel documents of Richard Sulík, Juraj Droba and Jozef Vyskupič appeared on the Uložto portal together with dozens of others. The folder was not password-protected and remained online for several days, they managed to point it out on the Facebook page Don’t feed us waste, the daily also writes about it SME. A total of 60 copies of passports were online online on Wednesday; they were members of the Slovak delegation, which went to the Expo in Dubai.

Our editor also took a look at the Expo in Dubai. Read it reportage from an international show, where Slovakia was not praised for its traditions, but for its progress.

Tray sensitive data

The zip file with scans of documents could be easily found and downloaded by anyone, the documents were not even censored. According to comments on Facebook, several people appeared under the post of a well-known site who claim to have done so. People joke that they will take out loans or mortgages in Sulík’s name, but others point out the GDPR and personal data protection.

Ministry of Economy spokeswoman Katarína Matejková told the SME daily that they are currently investigating why these sensitive data ended up on the Internet at all. “In the event that we find an infringement, we will contact the relevant authorities.” she said.

The members of the delegation included not only politicians, but also businessmen and civil servants. Alexandra Sulíková, the minister’s daughter, was also on the list, although he went to Dubai on a business trip. The ministry has not yet responded to questions from the SME daily, which its daughter did there. The individual passports were marked very clearly by name and workplace; for example, Richard Sulík’s passport was recorded as MH-Sulik, which refers to his ministry. However, the name of the daughter lacked such a designation, she only had a last name there, so it is not possible to say clearly what she did in Dubai.
