Thirty-eight million French people are concerned. And we now know precisely when and how the inflation compensation will be paid. This exceptional and individual aid of 100 € payable by the State is intended to “preserve the purchasing power of the most vulnerable and the middle classes” by helping them to cope with the rise in prices, particularly in fuel, observed. these last months. These € 100 will not be subject to any tax deduction.

Who is concerned ?

The allowance, details the government in a press release published on Wednesday, will be paid to active workers, job seekers, retirees and invalids whose monthly income is less than € 2,000 per month.

It also concerns people benefiting from the active solidarity income (RSA), the specific solidarity allowance (ASS), the disabled adult allowance (AAH), the solidarity allowance for the elderly (ASPA or minimum old age ), the supplementary disability allowance (ASI), the overseas solidarity income (RSO), asbestos early retirement, the shared child education benefit (PreParE), financial assistance to social and professional integration (AFIS), and support for family and social life (AVFS).

This allowance “will also benefit scholarship students, non-scholarship students receiving housing assistance, or young people on the path to integration”.

It will be paid to those who are concerned without any action to be taken on their part. Either directly by the employer, or directly by the parent organization (Urssaf, Pôle emploi, Cnam, Caf etc.).

When will the premium be paid?

In December : employees under private law; non-salaried workers, liberal professions, farmers; scholarship students.

By January 2022 at the latest: State agents and State operators; agents of local authorities; hospital workers.

In January 2022: jobseekers ; beneficiaries of the contractualized support path towards employment and autonomy (PACEA); beneficiaries of social minima and other social benefits; invalid; non-scholarship students benefiting from housing allowance.

In February 2022: retirees.

The implementation of this inflation compensation, announced by the Prime Minister on October 21, had received a mixed reception. The Federation of Student Associations had estimated that this aid would “not really change things”. The UFC-Que Choisir had denounced for its part a measure “not immediate, not fair, not targeted” when the CLCV welcomed a “tangible shock absorber and a significant commitment” and Rural families spoke of “good news” even if it did not “take into account territorial inequalities”.
