Parliament’s sittings are suspended due to the coronavirus – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. MEPs will not hold the sitting on Thursday either. At the beginning of the planned sitting, the Vice-President of the Parliament, Milan Laurenčík (SaS), clarified that, in view of the COVID-19 will not be negotiated. He adjourned the meeting until Tuesday, 2 November.

MEP Lucia Drábiková (OĽaNO) tested positive for coronavirus. This was confirmed to SITA by the MEP herself. On Wednesday, October 27, she was a screwdriver in the election of a member of the TASR Board of Directors and came into contact with the deputies.

“After consulting with the regional hygienist, it was decided to cancel today’s meeting,” said Michaela Jurcová, director of the Media and Public Communication Department of the Office of the National Council of the Slovak Republic for TASR, stating that the deputies have a recommendation to go for an antigen test.

MEPs are not due to meet again until Tuesday. They had planned not to hold talks on Friday. The reason is the upcoming holidays.
